In the past two months, I have been extremely busy writing new SexSkits, many of which can be found on the Coming Soon page and are planned for release in the Winter / Spring of 2011. Additionally, there will be a new Trilogy release for the Happy Ending 1,2, & 3 SexSkits next month. I have also begun work on a new series, a 5 SexSkit series called The Dominatrix. As 2009 draws to a close, it's only natural to want to take a quick look back to see from where I came from, appreciate the achievements of the past year, so that I can continue to look forward with appreciation and optimism in the coming year. This past year, I was able to release 13 new SexSkits, despite a very tough year for me personally. This past year saw the continuing development of my SexSkits Power Differential scheme, which I believe is a very important part of any relationship, especially behind closed doors. It is an inexact science, and more akin to an artform, but I am starting to see some real honest trending in the Power Differential, which I plan to import into my upcoming SexSkits. This past year, I also developed the SexSkits "4Him" and "4Her" concept, by which each SexSkit is developed under a given Fantasy Base dependent on either the male or female perspective. I developed this concept as a result of studying a few of the informal polls that I placed on the website to see who was viewing my pages, and what they were looking for. I believe that men and women do think differently, and what they are looking for in terms of sexual fantasies do differ significantly. 2009 being what it was economically, I decided early on to conduct a long-term sale of previously released SexSkits, which proved to be a sound business decision during such a difficult time. Some of you may have been wondering where I've been for the past few months, and more importantly, why I haven't released any new SexSkits during that time frame. Where I've been spending very long hours in the office, it leaves me little time for much else, and I decided to spend what little time I did have on my family and my marriage. Afterall, what would be the point of continuing to write SexSkits for the wife and I to test first before releasing them to all of you, if my marriage went into the shitter?

I also hit some major writing block with my anticipated new release "Indecent Proposal". Much like the one I went through with "Au Pair Affair", I decided it was best to shelve the project for a while and work on other ideas. One such idea is an adaptation of Snow White, but written and performed from the BDSM perspective.

Lately, I find a lot of the role play the wife and I have been utilizing falls within that particular genre. Ever since I wrote and tested "Slaveboy" and "Mominatrix", we've been steadily exploring this exciting and stimulating alternative lifestyle. While many devoted BDSM practitioners may consider our play to still be of the "vanilla" variety, it has opened our eyes to a whole new realm of sexual possibilities. Many emails I receive ask how I come up with the themes for the various SexSkits that I've produced to date. I wish I could answer them with a tried and true formula, but the truth is, one just simply does not exist. One such recent email did make me stop and think for a moment, and when I answered the email, I simply pointed out an interview that I had given to an online magazine some months before. Because that interview is no longer available, I thought that I'd post it here to help people understand what makes me tick, where I draw my inspiration from, and why I spend the hours upon hours creating new and exciting SexSkits:

Q: What exactly is SexSkits?

A: SexSkits is a website that offers scripted, sexual roleplay scenarios for committed couples to execute in a private, intimate setting. Like any good story, each SexSkit has a plot, detailed scene, character and costume development, scripted lines and actions for the "actors", alternative lines and actions should they wish to ad lib, suggested sexual positions that are specifically chosen to support the overall theme of the SexSkit, and the critical post-production notes for the participants. Because SexSkits are specifically written for committed couples, there are bound to be lingering thoughts, emotions and questions that each may have after the bliss of orgasm has faded. The post-production notes help couples deal with the subtle aftermath of their SexSkit, which can help to build and strengthen their relationship.

Q: Where did you get the idea?

A: About a year ago, I found my relationship with my wife lacking, and searched the internet for ideas on sexual roleplay to spice things up a bit. I found many articles that spoke of how this type of intimate activity could benefit a relationship, but found nothing in my searches to assist me in creating a realistic scenario. Then one day while stuck in traffic as I drove home from work, I realized that I could write one. My internet research shifted to how screenplays are written, how characters and plots are developed, and to the social and psychological aspects of acting out a sexual roleplay with one's spouse or significant other. Once done, I sat down and wrote my first SexSkit, "Naughty Nurse". I went out and bought a sexy nurse costume and printed out the SexSkit, which I wrapped together and gave to her one night after the kids went to bed. A few nights later, we had our first dress rehearsal and it was fantastic, although it did raise some concerns that we needed to talk through in the ensuing days. That is when I modified the SexSkit to include the Post-production notes.

Q: How did you launch the site?

A: Launching the site was the easy part. I have a background in web design, so that was no problem. A little more difficult was the site's promotion, for the internet is full of sexually explicit sites, and it's easy to get lost out there. Little by little, I'm trying to establish a niche that best promotes SexSkits and their value to couples. The hard part was developing a small series of SexSkits that could be marketed, a process that also continues to this day. The SexSkits are also distributed in .pdf format, the reader for which is available for free on line. Additionally, I am getting ready to release the SexSkit Couple'sPak, which contains the Sexual Positions Guide, Guide to Character and Scene Development, Sexual Activity Inventory, Request to Initiate a Sexual Encounter, and the Sexual fantasy Request, all delivered in .pdf format and in a .zip file.

Q: Tell us about some of the 'skits' you've written.

A: The "Naughty Nurse" SexSkit that I previously mentioned was a fun one! "Naughty Nurse" involves a bit of mild femdom and light bondage, shaving, dirt talk. My wife found it both stimulating and empowering to play that role, and I found that it was nice to take a submissive role for once. My favorite has got to be "High Class Escort", due to the high degree of GFE, multiples and sophistication of the roles. Building on that theme, I have just started outlining a new SexSkit involving a married housewife who has a secret life as a high class prostitute while her husband is away at work. I envision this SexSkit to be perfect for married couples desiring a "nooner" while the kids are off at school. "Teacher's Pet" is an older SexSkit, but one that is very popular with male customers. My current project, "Au Pair Affair" should be ready for release sometime this month. Q: Do customers give you feedback on how well the skits work for them?

A: To date, I have not received any feedback from customers who have purchased a SexSkit, although I have noticed that several individuals have come back to the site and purchased a few additional SexSkits, so my guess is that they are happy with the product. I would love to get some feedback, even suggestions for additional SexSkits that they would like to see in the future!

Q: What are the keys to writing a great skit?

A: I guess the biggest key to writing a successful SexSkit is a lot of imagination. I have watched my fair share of porn, and while some are very good, others are terribly bad. I also have begun reading women's erotics, which is helping me to write some SexSkits for the female perspective. Additionally, I have done extensive research, both on line and through a myriad of psych journals that help me to discover what many sexual fantasies are. Because my aim is to help a couple's relationship, I stay away from those that require multiple partners, or activities that I deem to be hurtful or dangerous. But the greatest amount of my time is spent imagining the SexSkit, from beginning to end. For a SexSkit to work, both participants must be able to realistically pretend that they and their partner are someone else entirely. To this end, the scene, character and costume development, as well as the dialogue must be believable. I spend the greatest amount of time imagining all of this before my fingers touch the keyboard. Of course, it doesn't hurt to try it out with the wife late one evening to work out the bugs!

Q: What's the writing process?

A: My writing process starts out with the theme, which I usually derive from a picture, a story or even some movie. From there, I decide which "genre" and sub-genre" I want to achieve, where and when the SexSkit is to take place, and invent my characters. Once I flesh out the scene, characters and costumes, the plot usually falls into place, along with which sexual positions should be used, and the alternative actions. The dialogue is the most challanging part of the writing process for me, so I usually start with the bookmarks, which are listed towards the beginning of the SexSkit. The bookmarks have a dual role; to help me flesh out the dialogue, and to act as cues for the participants should they get lost in the SexSkit. The final stage is the Post-production notes. I read the SexSkit several times, and imagine that my wife and I are the participants, then develop a list of questions and concerns that will likely arise at the conclusion of the SexSkit once we both start thinking about what had transpired the night before. For example, in a SexSkit involving me as the male participant having sex with a prostitute, my wife is bound to wonder if I might actually have done that or at least be considering it. This is the fallout of a SexSkit, and, when properly addressed, can actually strengthen your relationship. I must admit that while I try to anticipate most emotions that may arise at the conclusion of a SexSkit, I cannot accurately predict them all. So, SexSkit participants are encouraged to read the SexSkit several times, both to learn their lines and actions, but to anticipate some of the questions and emotions that are sure to follow.

Q: Are SexSkits a way to have exciting new sex, without having an affair?

A: Absolutely! That was the whole point when I decided to write my own SexSkit to share with my wife. My entire premise is that most of us can do so much with our imaginations, but rarely do. As children, we all roleplayed everyday when we played with our friends, with Barbies and GI Joes, but lost that critical skill over the years as we matured. I found it safer to approach my wife with an idea to strengthen our sex life and our marriage than to risk losing it all. Getting arrested for going to a prostitute or getting caught in an affair all because I wasn't feeling as satisfied as I thought I should with the woman that I love (both of which would have resulted in divorce), was never an option! All it takes is trust in yourself and your partner to rediscover that pre-adolescent skill and pretend that we are the hero, the damsel in distress, and act out those roles in an intimate, sexual scenario. While the "embarrassment factor" can be high for some at first, the effort is more than worth it. October Surprise

At first when I sat down to write this month's blog, I was really at a loss for words. This past month has really sucked, with sales (1 sale this month, 52 to date this year) being so low that the only correlation I could find is with the rapidly sinking economy. October was also the last month in my first "fiscal year", with November being the one year anniversary of the launch of SexSkits. As a result, I've launched the "Great Wall Street Meltdown 50% Off Sale", where I've discounted all non-new-release SexSkits 50%. There, my shameless plug.

Actually, as I look back, October 2008 will prove to be my most productive month yet. I took advantage of things being slow and "re-mastered" all existing SexSkits. I launched the SexSkit Difficulty scale, and along with it, added action and information icons to all SexSkits. I wrote two new SexSkits, Babysitter 1 (launched Nov. 1st) and Mominatrix, which will launch sometime in late November. All in all, a very productive month. October also saw the first "hacking" of the website, and I made significant changes to protect my content from a cheap bastard who decided it was better to steal the SexSkits rather than pay the measly price for them. The site is now 100% secure, and I have that asshole's IP address.

Looking forward, I am planning some minor changes to the website, and a whole new series of SexSkits for my 2nd "fiscal year". I also plan to step up efforts to get the SexSkits BB running, and develop a group of dedicated readers to assist in content development. The economy aside, I believe that people still need to intimately play, and judging by the feedback, many enjoy experimenting with sexual role play in their bedrooms with their committed partners. SexSkits Scene Structure

Lately I've received some emails from our loyal customers who have discovered a discernible pattern in the scene structure of a particular SexSkit. The question as posed was "why is it that the scenes go fellatio - cunnilingus - intercourse?" The answer is really quite simple: the male refractory period. The refractory period is the recovery phase after orgasm during which it is physiologically impossible for an individual to have additional orgasms. It is also sometimes defined as "the time immediately following orgasm during which a man cannot achieve an erection.The penis may be hypersensitive and further sexual stimulation may even feel painful during this time frame. The refractory period varies widely among individuals and across species, ranging from minutes to days. An increased infusion of the hormone oxytocin during ejaculation is believed to be chiefly responsible for the refractory period and the amount by which oxytocin is increased may affect the length of each refractory period. Another chemical which is considered to be responsible for this effect is prolactin, which represses dopamine, which is responsible for sexual arousal.

Generally, the first couple of scenes are what I like to call the "Intro-seduction", where the mood and tone of the SexSkit is developed. A critical portion of any SexSkit, the Intro-seduction allows the participants to immerse themselves in character, and set the tone for the remainder of the SexSkit. Sexual tension is often dramatically increased during these scenes, which helps the characters pretend that they are in the situation they are acting out. Additionally, scenes like solo or mutual masturbation, striptease, or others increase the level of social discomfort in one or both participants, which helps in developing the designed power gradient.

The fellatio scene usually follows the Intro-seduction scenes. An underlying philosophy of SexSkits is the complete sexual satisfaction of the female. This is why the scene structure is designed in a manner to promote multiple orgasms for the female throughout the SexSkit. It is also by design that the male will climax either during a fellatio, manual or masturbation scene, and will perform cunnilingus to the female for the duration of his refractory period. Because it is widely held that the male will not "last" as long during the initial erection as he during his second or third, the SexSkit is written to set the scene for this subsequent erection. A longer ejaculatory interval promotes enhanced pleasure for the female.

Following the climax of the male, we usually enter a protracted cunnilingus scene, designed to provide maximum pleasure to the female, while at the same time give the male partner adequate time to recover. In my research, women most often complain that their male partners do not go down on them often enough, and those who do don't often perform cunnilingus expertly enough to get them off. If you are a man and fall into any one of these categories, you owe it to yourself and the woman you love to learn cunnilingus and perfect your art!

After you have licked your woman to at least one orgasm and have recovered to the point where an erection is again possible, the SexSkit should move into the intercourse scene. In most SexSkits, the intercourse scene is the main course, and is designed around at least two separate and distinct coitus positions. Once again, this is to promote a healthy sexual lifestyle and break up the monotony in the marital bed chamber. All SexSkits are written for a simultaneous climax of the male and female. While I am not naive and realize that this takes much discipline and practice, it is something of a goal for all married couples to pursue. Once achieved, you both will never want to climax any other way again.

The last section of a SexSkit is the Afterplay, where the couple has a chance to recover, cuddle, make-out, re-initiate lovemaking in or out of character, or simply drift off to sleep together. An important component of all SexSkits, the Afterplay section should never be skipped, unless of course the baby wakes up!

A trip to the dark side...

Recently, I put the final touches on our newest SexSkit, Slaveboy 1. Slaveboy is definitely new territory for me, a wild trip into the world of BDSM, and more specifically Female Domination (FemDom). To accomplish this, I did a lot of internet reasearch, bought and read some books for aspiring Dommes, and interviewed a prominent Southern California-based professional Dominatrix. The one thing I did not do was employ the services of one of these ladies to further my research. That I would leave to my wife in our "SexSkit Dress Rehearsals". Afterall, that is the best part of SexSkit development!

A warning! This is not your average SexSkit! It carries a 'Difficult' rating, which is pretty conservative. Honestly, it will take many weeks of study and rehearsal before the female participant has all of her lines down to the point where this SexSkit can be executed properly, but I'm certain that at it's conclusion, she will see the preparation time well worth her effort! Some of our customers will find this particular SexSkit to be a little over the top in terms of the cost of costumes and props, depth of character, the sheer amount of lines the female participant (Mistress) must memorize, and of course the acts of devotion that the male participant (Slave) must perform and endure to demonstrate his eternal devotion and service to his Mistress. I purposely wrote some segments of this SexSkit to be extremely provocative and challenging in order to satisfy the overall premise of SexSkits to bring couples closer together through a deeply sensual, sexual, and spiritual shared experience.

Despite this SexSkit requiring so much research, and the fact it comes complete with many extras designed to assist the participants develop their characters and educate themselves to the shadowy world of BDSM, it has an introductory release price of only $30. I realize that may be $5-10 more than people have paid previously for other SexSkits, but considering that this took so long to complete and is 23 pages long, with an additional 20+ pages of support material, I believe many will see the price as being fair. Unfortunately, a significant investment in costume and props will significantly raise the price of this encounter, but no more than a nice dinner and a hotel room! I anticipate raising this price by $10 soon after subsequent SexSkits are published.

After reading this SexSkit, my subject matter expert, Goddess Olivia, gave me a proper review, saying "as close to an actual scene for the training of first time slave as you're going to find". Goddess Olivia told me that she would assist me in the sequel, which I can't wait to begin! I've gotten some emails lately wondering where I've been, and asking if I'm going to post a new SexSkit any time soon. Actually, I decided to take a little family vacation, and although I tweaked the site a bit over this little hiatus, I really was thinking a lot about two SexSkits that I plan to write. One of them was Intimate Portrait, which is almost completed. I ran into a little snag, because there was a portion of it that just didn't transition well. I tried to work this SexSkit out with the wife on a few occasions, but she wasn't having it when it came to introducing a camera into the bedroom, unloaded or not! I think that I have worked through this little problem, and hope to have Intimate Portrait published sometime in the next few weeks.

A second SexSkit that I've been working on involves a healthy dose of Femdom, which admittedly is something new to me. This new SexSkit with the working title of Slaveboy, requires a great deal of research into this new world of BDSM. The more I read, the deeper the rabbit hole went. To date, I think that I have the makings of a really hot, new SexSkit, and am working on fleshing out the plot and script. Let us face a basic fact. Sex is about power. Period. It is widely held that whichever partner is the "top" or in the top position, they are viewed to be "mounting", and therefore dominant or otherwise in control. The partner being "mounted", conversely, is known as the bottom, or that partner who is submissive or otherwise relinquishing control. Further, the female partner, or that partner who is being penetrated, is also seen as being at a loss of control, whereas the penetrating partner is the one who has "invaded", and therefore can be construed as being in the dominant role.

A few weeks back, I received an email from someone who had purchased a couple of SexSkits, and wondered why many of my newer SexSkits contain a scene of female or mutual, male – female masturbation. Sounding a little trite, I answered “Because it turns me on!” I went on to describe to her just why I like female masturbation, and why I have included it in a few of the SexSkits that I’ve written lately. She thanked me for my response, and that was that. Or so I thought.

Actually, her email initiated a debate within me that I have been waging since I first opened and read her email that I am finally prepared to share. First off, yes it’s true. Female masturbation really turns me on! I remember watching porn videos with roommates in college, and where they all seemed to be very interested in the girl-girl scenes for example, where I was not. The primary goal in the character development of the SexSkit characters is to have the participant leave their individual comfort zone for their particular model of sexuality. My theory is that in order for a participant to actually do this, they must completely pretend that they are indeed that persona depicted in the SexSkit, and as such, have completely immersed themselves in their character role. This in turn leads to a more believable encounter for both participants, the fruits of which should be increased communication, openness and togetherness.

Another reason that I have been including female & mutual masturbation scenes in some of my SexSkits is to promote trust. Masturbation, by its very nature, is a very private affair. While we all do it, and know that our partners do as well, we seldom share this portion of our individual sexuality with each other, no matter how committed to the relationship we are. Masturbation in front of one’s mate, either alone or in a partnership, requires a great deal of trust. By including these activities in SexSkits, it is intended that a couple will grow together in trust and mutual respect by masturbating in front of, and for each other. Some couples just may never reach this level of trust and commitment to feel completely at ease in performing like this in front of each other, and that is perfectly okay. What are SexSkits?

SexSkits are designed and written to be stand-alone scripts intended for committed couples who wish to engage in sexual role-play activities. Each SexSkit contains a listing of the characters and their roles, the genre and sub-genre of the SexSkit, character development, costume design, scene development, Alternative Action suggestions, Bookmarks should the participants get lost within the script, sexual positions, and of course, the script itself. We devleoped SexSkits to help committed couples explore the sexuality of their relationship in a healthy manner, while also enhancing the level of excitement that these couples may bring to bear on their intimate moments together.

Development of SexSkits

Each SexSkit is developed around a central theme, based on common sexual fantasies that both men and women have. The SexSkit has both a Protagonist (that character who participates in the role play, but must face a "foil", or conflict before consummating the relationship), and an Antagonist, who is the seductive character and poses the conflict to the Protagonist. Each SexSkit uses costumes, props, and settings to establish a realistic feel to the SexSkit for the participants, but are not completely necessary.

Many couples may exercise their imaginations when participating in a SexSkit without the props, costumes and setting parameters, and still have a wonderful time. The intent of each SexScript is to create an atmosphere in which both participants and realistically see one another as someone else, and can pretend to be someone else. A high degree of sexual freedom can be generated in both participants when they assume different identities and roles, resulting in fantastic love play. It is important when engaging in a SexSkit for the participants to shed, as much as possible, their true personnas, values, and inhibitions. In this way, a SexSkit can prove to be an invaluable tool for increasing intimacy, overcoming inhibitions, and experimenting in sex with a trusted partner.

For a SexSkit to be truly effective, much preparation should be made beforehand. Both SexSkit participants should have a copy of the SexSkit and should read it several times. It is not absolutely necessary to memorize each and every scripted line, but it helps keep the participants on track throughout the SexSkit. Participants should become very familiar with their character's development, and should take time to assume that personna from time to time in private prior to engaging in the SexSkit. Participants should also use the days before engaging in the SexSkit to assemble all of the costume, accessories and props necessary to complete the SexSkit.

SexSkit participants are strongly encouraged to openly review and discuss the SexSkit's Suggested positions, sex actions, and alternative script / actions items, and should agree beforehand that they are willing to participate in the script as written. Participants are free to change the script as they see fit to better accomodate their individual tastes and abilities.
